Reduce-only error

This article will help you to troubleshoot the most common issues causing the Reduce-only error.

Issue:
Unable to exit from the position with "Reduce-only error".

Reason:
1. You have closed the part of the position directly on the exchange.
2. You have lowered fees and the exchange does not send this information via API key . (VIP level, exchange bonuses etc.)
3. You do not have the position on the exchange.

Solution:
1. Do not partially close the position directly on the exchange.
2. Contact our support team to get more details.
3. Do not close the position on the exchange manually, use WunderTrading instead.

Example:
​1. You have entered in the Long position with 100 ADA/USDT and enabled "Reduce only", but decided to close part of the position directly on the exchange. In that case you will receive "Reduce only" error.
2. Your fees were lowered by the exchange, but they set default fee for your trades via API.
