Marketplace - why PnL is negative while ROI is positive?
When calculating PnL we ignore leverage.
When calculating ROI, we take into account the leverage you use. This means that there may be configurations when your P/L is negative when ROI is positive.
For example, if you start to trade with a 3x leverage and have positive PnL and then change it to 1x leverage and have negative PnL, you may get an overall negative PnL but still an overall positive ROI.
It can even be the case that ROI in % is positive, while PnL in $ is negative. This is possible if you increase the amount of funds used in your strategies:
On the contrary, if you decrease the amount of funds after a few trades, your ROI may be negative while PnL in $ is positive:
Rules for Copy-Traders
When you start following the trader or bot your initial period of the copy-trading connection will be set to 30 days.
You can stop following the trader’s profile at any time. However, if you paid the trader’s subscription it will become inactive and you will not be able to re-follow this profile.
The copy-trader has the opportunity to claim the refund within the 7 calendar days after paying for the copy-trading subscription.
How position size of the Copy-Trader will be determined?
The amount with which the copy-trader will enter the strategy will depend on the method that the trader is using to enter. If the trader will use a fixed amount when he enters the trade then the copy-trader will enter with the same amount (example: Trader put a fixed amount of 1000$, the trader will enter with the same amount) If the copy-trader does not have enough funds to mimic this amount then the copy-trader's account will compensate with leverage. If this still will not be enough then the trade will fail.
If the trader is using the % of the portfolio, then the copy-trader's account will use the same % from the available balance. (Example: Trader has 1000$ on his balance and copy-trader has 100$ on his account. If a trader trades 50% of his account this will mean that he will enter with 500$ and the copy-trader with 50$). In this case, the leverage will be only used if the trader has inputted any leverage in his strategy.
How to check if the Trader has made a trade?
